1. Agreement to Terms
By hiring a costume from The Costume House, you agree to comply with the terms and conditions outlined below. Failure to adhere to these terms may result in additional fees or refusal of future hires.

2. Hire Period
Costumes are hired for the period selected at checkout (weekend, 6 months or 12 months), unless otherwise agreed. Late returns will incur additional fees as outlined in Section 7.

3. Booking and Payment

  • Full payment is required before the costume is collected or shipped.

  • If you have any concerns or questions about your costume please contact us prior to booking.

4. Security Bond

  • A valid credit card must be kept on file for the duration of your hire.

  • Deductions may be made for damages, stains, missing accessories, or late returns.

5. Collection and Return

  • Costumes must be returned within 7 days of your hire period ending.

6. Care and Use of Costumes

  • Costumes must not be altered, cut, or permanently modified.

  • Costumes must not be exposed to smoke, food, drink, or extreme weather conditions.

  • The hirer is responsible for proper handling and storage during the hire period.

7. Late Returns

  • Late returns will incur a fee of $10 per day, and will be charged to the credit card on file.

  • If the costume is not returned within 2 weeks, the hirer will be liable for the full replacement cost.

8. Damage, Loss, and Cleaning

  • The hirer is responsible for any damage beyond normal wear and tear.

  • If the costume is lost or irreparably damaged, the full replacement cost will be charged.

  • Do not attempt to wash or dry clean the costume. A cleaning fee may apply if the costume is returned in an excessively dirty condition.

9. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Cancellations made within 24 hours of purchase are eligible for a full refund. After 24 hours, customers will receive a store credit equal to 50% of the total purchase price (excluding shipping). 

10. Liability

  • The Costume House is not responsible for any injuries, allergic reactions, or damages incurred while wearing the hired costume.

  • The hirer assumes full responsibility for the costume and its use during the hire period.

11. Privacy Policy

  • Any personal information collected will only be used for hire purposes and will not be shared with third parties.

12. Amendments to Terms

  • The Costume House reserves the right to update these terms and conditions at any time. Hirers will be notified of any significant changes.

By proceeding with the hire, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions.
